Rap superstar facing child custody battle
Usher may be one of the biggest superstars in today's music and entertainment industry, but fame is no exemption from the law. The rap superstar may find himself once again fighting his ex-wife in a child custody battle.
Earlier this week, Usher's oldest son, Usher V, was taken to the hospital after an accident in a pool at the singer's home. While his mother and Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, said the five-year-old child is doing "okay," there is plenty more drama for the once happy couple.
Foster is hoping to regain custody of the couple's two children, Usher V and Naviyd, through an emergency child custody hearing.
While Usher and Foster have yet to speak out in detail themselves, sources close to Foster have made it clear that she is not happy with the most recent accident at the rap star's home. She feels the kids are not being raised by the singer, but instead by nannies or family members.
This is not the first time the two are going to fight each other in court over custody of their children. Last year, the pair faced off with Usher coming out on top. At this time, Foster has limited custodial rights.
According to a recent report by CNN, Foster said "My son is okay, but I have no further comment at this time."
The accident at the singer's home has given Foster an opening to potentially request an emergency custody hearing, in the hope that last year's ruling will be overturned.
If you find yourself fighting for custody of your child, it is best to do so with the assistance of an experienced attorney who has won similar cases in the past. This will go a long way in improving your chance of being granted custody.
