Jennifer R. Saltzman
Location : Linthicum Heights, MD
Jennifer R. Saltzman is a Domestic Law Attorney at the Law Offices of James E. Crawford and Associates, with a focus on Divorce, Custody, and Protective Orders. Jennifer is a graduate of Towson University Undergrad and University of Baltimore Law School and has been barred both Federally and in the state of Maryland.
Jennifer obtained her undergraduate degree in studio arts, then began to work in public mental health as a caseworker providing services to individuals with serious mental illness. Those individuals were often homeless, in danger of becoming homeless, or having difficulty obtaining basic needs such as food, shelter, and treatment. Through working with her clients in said program, Jennifer observed how difficult it could be for some people to have a voice and a true understanding of legal proceedings. Which such a realization, she went on to pursue a law degree and attended school in the evenings while working full time. Jennifer has gained experience in many areas of law, including but not limited to public benefits, nursing home discharges and other administrative proceedings, landlord/tenant law, bankruptcy, and consumer law, CINA, representing patients in state hospitals, and unemployment compensation.
Her Philosophy: "My philosophy as an attorney is to make sure that my clients' voices are heard and that they are treated fairly under the rule of law. I strive to ensure that my clients understand their rights and are an active part of any decision-making in their case."
Jennifer understands that, particularly within the area of family law, situations are often stressful and full of emotions. She does not only want her clients to feel as though they are heard by the legal system, but that they are heard by their attorney as well.
